• Dầu có màu nhạt nhất trong họ dầu lanh. Nó giúp tăng độ chảy và làm sơn chậm khô. Dùng lượng vừa đủ hoặc trộn chung với Gamsol theo tỉ lệ 1:1 sẽ cho ra một dung môi pha sơn có thời gian khô chậm và độ nhớt thấp (Low Viscosity).
• Do đã được kềm hóa nên dầu ít bị ngả vàng hơn đáng kể so với các loại dầu lanh tinh chế thông thường.

• Bảng hướng dẫn sau đây giúp bạn phân biệt các dung môi sơn dầu của hãng Gamlin dựa trên Công năng và Thời gian khô của chúng. Bảng cũng phân loại cả hỗn hợp pha 50/50 của Dầu đứng (Standing Oil), Dầu lanh tinh luyện (Refined Linseed Oi), Dầu anh túc (Poppy Oil) và Gamsol. Giống như nhiều dung môi sơn dầu khác, dung môi sơn dầu Gamblin được chia thành 03 loại: Độ nhớt thấp (mỏng), Độ nhớt cao (dày) và Gel. Trong mỗi loại, lại có thời gian khô khác nhau. Descriptions

• Gamblin Refined Linseed Oil is the palest of linseed oils. Adding Refined Linseed Oil to colors increases flow and slows dry times. Use sparingly or mix with an equal amount Gamsol to create a traditional slow-drying, low-viscosity painting medium.
• Alkali-refined linseed oil yellows significantly less whilst also creating a strong, flexible paint film.
• Made in USA.

WORKING PROPERTIES & DRYING RATES

• The chart below details differences in working properties and drying rates among Gamblin painting mediums. Also included
are 50/50 mixtures of Stand Oil, Refined Linseed Oil, Poppy Oil and Gamsol. As with all painting mediums ever invented, our
mediums fall into three categories: Low Viscosity (thin), High Viscosity (thick) and Gel. Within each type of viscosity is a variety
of drying rates. You will discover one or two mediums that will be perfect for your work. For example: Robert Gamblin uses the fluid Galkyd Lite in earlier layers of his painting because it thins paint quickly and dries fast. In subsequent glaze layers he switches to the gel Neo Megilp because he needs more working time and wants the glazes to stay put.
• To modify your painting medium, add a moderate amount of Gamsol to reduce the viscosity and/or a moderate amount of
Refined Linseed, Stand or Poppy Oil to slow drying. All Gamblin mediums are compatible with each other.
